Dr. Philip Kuruvilla completed his MBBS from Christian Medical College, Vellore and his post graduation in Ophthalmology from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. His deep Christian faith and convictions moved him to serve in the North Indian villages of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh where he performed several thousands of Eye Surgeries in the span of 10 years and gained tremendous expertise in Cataract Surgery, Squint Surgery, Trabeculectomy (Surgery for Glaucoma), Ptosis, and Oculoplastic Surgeries like corrections of conditions like Ptosis (droopy eye), Entropion (inversion of eye lid), Ectropion (eversion of eye lid), Dermatochalasis (excess skin in the upper lid), etc.

He did his first IOL implantation surgery in 1984: after watching Dr. Daljit Singh in Amritsar. From 1985 to 2000 he worked as Chief of G.M Eye Hospital, Mettupalayam, a 120 bedded Eye Hospital, by the end of which he performed over 40,000 eye surgeries. He in fact perfected SICS to such an extent that with the cataract-IOL Implantation surgery he corrects pre-existing astigmatism (curvature of cornea being different in different meridians).
He moved to Trivandrum in the year 2000, where he and his wife Dr. Sara Kuruvilla launched Aradhana Eye Care.

Dr. Ashish Kuruvilla did his MBBS from the prestigious Christian Medical College , Vellore. He worked in Bihar for two years as a junior doctor where he got exposed to Ophthalmology. Going back to his Alma-Mater, he completed his MS post-graduation in Ophthalmology from CMC, Vellore in 2013, predominantly in a unit where glaucoma was emphasised. He then worked in North India for three years where he had the opportunity to do thousands of anterior segment surgeries including Phacoemulsification, MSICS cataract surgery, pterygium and ocular surface surgeries. He then completed DNB in Ophthalmology (Post MS) in 2017 . He was awarded Fellowship from the Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) in 2018. He gained experience in Medical Retina from Giridhar Eye Institute, Kochi in 2018. He is regularly invited to talk on his area of interest – cataract surgery. He has been practicing as a Cataract, Glaucoma and medical retina specialist at the Aradhana Eye Institute since 2016.

She has also learned Ocular Oncology from Sankara Eye Hospital, Bangalore. She has published multiple papers in international , national and state levels and has won numerous awards such as the Dr. K.C .Sankara Menon award KSOS in 2017, RetNet Posterior segment award 2019, D. Siva Reddy Award, KSOS,2019, Dr KGR Nair Memorial award , KSOS 2021. She had received gold medal in ophthalmology post graduate competitive exam in 2016. Her areas of interest are macular and retinal pathologies, retinopathy of prematurity , retinoblastoma and other intraocular tumors.

In response to the call of the Lord Jesus Christ “ not to be served unto, but to serve”, Dr. Sara Kuruvilla, along with her husband , Dr. Philip Kuruvilla, founded the Aradhana Eye Hospital , Trivandrum in 2000. She did her MBBS from the prestigious Christian Medical College Vellore and her diploma in Ophthalmology from the Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. She worked as a comprehensive Ophthalmologist in Garnett Memorial Eye Hospital, Mettupalayam from 1992 to 2000. From 2000 to 2010, she worked as a consultant Ophthalmologist in Aradhana Eye Hospital, Fort, and from 2010 to 2012 in Aradhana Eye Institute, Manacaud. From 2012, she is the Chief doctor at Aradhana Eye Clinic in Vattapara. She is also the director of the Aradhana eye care and Vice principal of the Ophthalmic Assistant course.

Dr Thomas K Chacko completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore and MS & DO ( Ophthalmology) from Institute of Ophthalmology, Joseph Eye Hospital Tiruchirapalli. He was honored with the Dr Joseph Gnandickam Gold Medal during his MS (Ophthalmology) in 2005 for ‘ Best Outgoing Student’.
